How it all started
It started with a bad back and a short story competition. My friend suggested that I enter a short story competition while I was immobilised. Writing it would help pass the time and take my mind off things. From that moment I was hooked.
My story
My husband an I moved from Derby in England to Galicia in Sain in 2009. We wanted a new life, to grow vegetables keep chickens and spend more time outdoors. We spent the first few years making part of our old farmhouse habitable, after which Steve trained to teach English as a foreign language so that we could become part of the local community
Becoming an Author
I began writing in 2018. It has been a slow journey fraught with both joy and disappointment. Writing has become the central facet of my life. I love creating stories. I consider myself so lucky. Not only to live in a stunning location but to spend my time doing this I love. I garden, cook and grow vegetables when I’m not writing.
