I am Abigail Thorne.

I write mystery stories as A.D. Thorne

I live in Galicia in Northwest Spain in an old farmhouse that we have been restoring for the last ten years, and will probably continue working on for years to come. The village in which we live has only six houses and seven residents. It is a perfect place for me to write.

I have been inspired by the beautiful countryside as well as the Camino de Santiago which brings thousands of pilgrims into our local town.

Some my stories are inspired by the Derbyshire countryside which I left behind. In the future I’m sure I will write something based in Yorkshire where I was born.
